Vaiśampāyana said: The victorious Nākula went to Hāstinapura and the Pāṇḍava invited Bhīṣma and Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
वैशम्पायन ने कहा: विजयी नकुल हस्तिनापुर गए और पांडव ने भीष्म और धृतराष्ट्र को आमंत्रित किया।
Having heard of Dharmarāja's sacrifice and learned about sacrifices, they happily set out, with the brāhmana-s at the forefront.
धर्मराज के यज्ञ के बारे में सुनकर और यज्ञों के बारे में जानकर, वे सबसे आगे ब्राह्मणों को लेकर खुशी-खुशी निकल पड़े।
O bull among men! Others also came in hundreds, content in their hearts and desiring to see Pāṇḍava Dharmarāja's sabhā.
हे मनुष्यों में बैल! अन्य लोग भी सैकड़ों की संख्या में आये, मन में संतुष्ट थे और पाण्डव धर्मराज की सभा देखने की इच्छा कर रहे थे।
O descendant of the Bhārata lineage! All the kings arrived from all the directions. They brought with them many expensive jewels.
हे भरत वंश के वंशज! सभी दिशाओं से सभी राजा आये। वे अपने साथ अनेक बहुमूल्य आभूषण लेकर आये।
O descendant of the Bhārata lineage! All of them were welcomed with honour—Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Bhīṣma, the greatly intelligent Vidūra, all the brothers with Duryodhana at the forefront,
हे भरत वंश के वंशज! उन सभी का सम्मान के साथ स्वागत किया गया - धृतराष्ट्र, भीष्म, अत्यंत बुद्धिमान विदुर, सबसे आगे दुर्योधन के साथ सभी भाई,
all the kings with the preceptor at the forefront, Subala the king of Gāndhāra, the immensely strong Śākuni,
सबसे आगे गुरु सहित सभी राजा, गांधार के राजा सुबाला, अत्यंत बलशाली शकुनि,
Acalā, Vṛṣaka, the supreme warrior Karṇa, Ṛtā, Śalya the king of the Madra-s, the mahāratha Bahlika,
अचल, वृषक, परम योद्धा कर्ण, शत, मद्र के राजा शल्य, महारथ बाह्लीक,
Somadatta of the Kuru lineage, Bhūri, Bhūrishrava, Śala, Aśvatthāma, Kṛpa, Droṇa, Jayadratha the king of Sindhu,
कुरु वंश के सोमदत्त, भूरि, भूरिश्रवा, शाल, अश्वत्थामा, कृप, द्रोण, सिंधु के राजा जयद्रथ,
Yajñasena and his son, Śālva the lord of the earth, the greatly famous Bhagadatta, king of Prāgjyotiṣa,
यज्ञसेन और उनके पुत्र, पृथ्वी के स्वामी शाल्व, प्रागज्योतिष के अत्यंत प्रसिद्ध राजा भगदत्त,
all the mleccha-s who lived along the shores of the ocean, the kings from the mountains, King Bṛhadbala,
समुद्र के किनारे रहने वाले सभी म्लेच्छ, पर्वतों के राजा, राजा बृहद्बल,
Vāsudeva from Puṇḍra, the king of Vaṅga, the king of Kāliṅga, Ākarṣa, Kuntala, the Vānavāsya, the Andhraka-s,
पुंड्र के वासुदेव, वंग के राजा, कलिंग के राजा, आकर्ष, कुंतल, वनवास्य, आंध्रक-एस,
the Drāviḍa-s, the Siṃhala-s, the king of Kashmir, the immensely energetic Kuntibhoja, the immensely strong Suhma,
द्रविड़, सिंहल, कश्मीर के राजा, अत्यधिक ऊर्जावान कुन्तिभोज, अत्यंत शक्तिशाली सुहमा,
all the other kings and warriors from Bahlika, Virāṭa and his sons, the mahāratha Machella, kings, the sons of kings, the lords of many countries,
बाह्लीक, विराट और उसके पुत्रों, महारथ मचेल, राजाओं, राजाओं के पुत्रों, कई देशों के राजाओं के अन्य सभी राजा और योद्धा,
the immensely valorous Śiśupāla, invincible in battle, and his son,
अत्यंत वीर शिशुपाल, युद्ध में अजेय, और उसका पुत्र,
Rāma, Aniruddha, Babhru, Sāraṇa, Gada, Pradyumna, Sāmba, the valorous Cārudeṣṇa,
राम, अनिरुद्ध, बभ्रु, शरण, गदा, प्रद्युम्न, सांब, वीर चारुदेष्ण,
Ulmuka, Niṣaṭha, Pradyumna's valorous son and all the other Vṛṣṇi-s who were mahāratha-s.
उल्मुक, निशाथ, प्रद्युम्न का वीर पुत्र और अन्य सभी वृष्णि जो महारथी थे।
They all went to the Pāṇḍava's sacrifice. Many other kings from the middle regions also went to the great rājasūya sacrifice of Pāṇḍu's son.
वे सभी पाण्डवों के यज्ञ में गये। मध्य क्षेत्र के कई अन्य राजा भी पाण्डु पुत्र के महान राजसूय यज्ञ में गये थे।
O king! On Dharmarāja's instructions, dwelling houses were provided to all of them. They had many rooms and were adorned with lakes and trees.
हे राजा! धर्मराज के निर्देश पर, उन सभी को आवास उपलब्ध कराये गये। उनके पास कई कमरे थे और झीलों और पेड़ों से सजाए गए थे।
There, Dharma's son showed them the best of honours. Having been shown due homage, all the kings went to their assigned dwelling houses
वहां, धर्म के बेटे ने उन्हें सबसे अच्छा सम्मान दिया। उचित आदर-सत्कार पाकर सभी राजा अपने-अपने निवास स्थान को चले गये
— as tall as the peaks of Kailāsa, beautiful, stocked with every kind of object and surrounded by strongly built and white walls on every side.
- कैलास की चोटियों जितना ऊंचा, सुंदर, हर तरह की वस्तुओं से सुसज्जित और हर तरफ से मजबूत और सफेद दीवारों से घिरा हुआ।
There were nets of gold and the floors were paved with precious stones. The stairs were gentle to climb and there were expensive seats and carpets.
वहाँ सोने की जालियाँ थीं और फर्श बहुमूल्य पत्थरों से जड़े हुए थे। सीढ़ियाँ चढ़ने में आसान थीं और वहाँ महंगी सीटें और कालीन थे।
They were decorated with wreaths and garlands and perfumed with the best of aloe. They were white like a swan's feathers and could be seen from the distance of a yojanā.
उन्हें पुष्पहारों और मालाओं से सजाया गया और सर्वोत्तम घृत से सुगंधित किया गया। वे हंस के पंखों की तरह सफेद थे और एक योजन की दूरी से देखे जा सकते थे।
The doors were wide, permitting easy entry and were characterized by every quality. They were constructed out of many metals and looked like the peaks of the Himālaya-s.
दरवाजे चौड़े थे, जिससे आसानी से प्रवेश किया जा सकता था और उनमें हर गुणवत्ता की विशेषता थी। इनका निर्माण कई धातुओं से किया गया था और ये हिमालय की चोटियों की तरह दिखते थे।
After resting there for some time, those lords saw Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, surrounded by many sadasya-s and donating innumerable gifts.
वहां कुछ देर विश्राम करने के बाद उन राजाओं ने धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर को देखा, जो अनेक सदश्यों से घिरे हुए थे और असंख्य दान दे रहे थे।
O king! Crowded by sadasya-s, kings and great-souled brāhmana-s, the place looked as beautiful as the vault of the sky, crowded with immortals.
हे राजा! सदस्यों, राजाओं तथा महात्मा ब्राह्मणों से भरा हुआ वह स्थान अमरों से भरा हुआ आकाश के भण्डार के समान सुन्दर लग रहा था।
